Communitas Volunteers Australia (CVA) was established in 2023 to build on the successful volunteering support provided to First Nations and Migrant communities by Augustinian Volunteers Australia from 2008 -2022, primarily located in the Sydney area. 

COMMUNITAS is keen to expand these valuable volunteering services to a diverse range of vulnerable groups and people across the whole of Australia, including walking with refugees, migrants and First Nations communities in the spirit of reconciliation.

We aim to work with communities using an empowerment model where we assist in the achievement of community priorities as a support partner.

Our volunteers dedicate 1 year to the program but often develop longer term relationships with communities and community members based on trust and respect.
